TRAX-IT uses barcode readers which have been installed at critical points along the kill line to track the identity of the trolley hooks on the rail using barcodes that are embedded in the hooks. The TRAX-IT Traceability Server uses the barcode hooks to track the identity and movement of each carcass on the rail system, to collect and store the data for each carcass such as hot and cold weights, quality grades and yields, and inspection results.
